Samurai 7 Question/Problem Help - Blu-ray Forum

Disc 1, Episode 1 - Time: 4.50

Right before it cuts to the villagers singing there is a pan of the landscape and the video looks all glitchy and pixelated. Well, not really pixelated, but it's like aliasing. Did anyone else notice? Or is it just my copy?

I don't remember seeing something like that on my copy, but if you like, I'll check it tomorrow and keep you posted.

I've had a look at that spot on my BD, sorry nothing, it look's as clear and precise as the rest of the disc. I don't know what it could be on your disc.

No errors to report here as well. Although, I must say there is an effect applied on that particular part of the image that makes it seem a bit hazy/flou with the fog and all. It gives the image a bit of a watery effect ... perhaps you are misinterpreting that effect?

Otherwise, it seems fine to me. I didn't see any aliasing or macroblocking, although I can certainly see how that effect could be misconstrued as an error.

If your disc suffers from aliasing or macroblocking, I suggest contacting the shop you bought it at. It could always be a case of a badly pressed disc.

No error to report here either. BTW, Samurai 7 is really entertaining. Great show. I am about to start disc 2.
