HM: MGM celebrates its 85th birthday this year, a year after Warner Bros. What special events or releases do you have in store to capitalize on this milestone?

Doctorow: For the coming year, we have a number of cool releases planned: A 40th anniversary edition of Hair, an all-new special collector’s edition of Spinal Tap on Blu-ray Disc, and a 30th anniversary edition of Mad Max. We have a couple of “Stargate” surprises planned. The entire “Rocky” collection will also street on Blu-ray in time for the holidays. And, finally, we have some neat gift sets being planned for later in the year.

Agreed. Plus I hope the transfer is better than the first release.

Just bought Rocky Balboa a month ago but I'll definitely double dip here so I can get the entire collection/box set. Just hope they give the original Rocky a better transfer than the one that's out now.

I don't want the box set, I want 1-4. I'll probably buy the complete set and sell or trade the last two to someone else who actually wants them.

I'm pretty sure Rocky 6 won't be included. It is a Sony title while the others are MGM.

What's wrong with the first release? Rocky is supposed to be a grainy film and be thankful they didn't DNR it.

Finally, I hope they will do those 6 movies justice. Also I don't want only special features on the first and last one, but for every of them!!!

Wasn't Rocky one of the first Blu-ray releases? I don't think they took their time for this one.

This holiday season is gonna be jaw droppingly, staggering good for blu-ray owners. Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Indiana Jones trilogy, Rocky 1-6, possibly Aliens quadrilogy!!!!

I already have Rocky 6 but will get the whole set as I'm sure it will be priced really good and I'll just sell of my extra copy. Don't care anything at all about the 5th movie though, it is terrible.
