Even though the disc is eventually mutiliated, it's pretty amazing watching it withstand some serious abuse!!!!
Nothing that DVD or HD-dvd would have been able to withstand either.

I've been fortunate enough to "stress-test" the majority of the BD media we come into contact with. No actual BD movie's but the BD-r's and BD-re's from various manufacturers. Incredibly resilient, not to mention bit correction algorithms for when part of the disc become so scratched the read head can't get a clear look at.
BTW, I read some of the posts for the video, and i can't tell you how happy I am that our little community is way more civil.
My one criticism of the video: The man needs to invest in a tripod, its obvious he's trying to get continuous shots but there's better ways of doing it, actually kind of gave me a headache. Two hands free = Twice the destructive power (and the video will be much more stable and easy to follow)
Besides that I think its a good video, I'm a bit curious as the what the Oatmeal crunch was for though... lol

Here's the ultimate test: leave a blu-ray collection alone with my 2 year old. none of those items compare to what my daughter can dish out.

OMG! At least wipe of that disc before putting it back in your PS3. The lens!! So dirty
