Question 3D and 2D Versions With Different Scenes *SPOILERS*

SPOILERS!!!
There is a scene in 'Oz:The Great and Powerful 3D' near the beginning when he crashes into the water and has water squirted in his face(my face, first person perspective). In 3D I flinched, it was a very effective shot. Recently I watched the 2D version with my granddaughter, and instead of the ' in your face POV ', the shot is shown from the side, no squirting into the camera. There may be other replaced scenes, but that's the only one I've noticed.

Has anyone noticed any other movies with differing 2D/3D scenes?

Good observation, thanks.
I'm surprised they would add an entirely new shot inserted into the main film for the 2D version. I only have the 3D disc since Disney only included 1 disc, so I can't see it for myself, but thanks for the info. I can't think of any other movie that does this, since it would take extra work to alter the film like that.

Definitely sounds like Raimi's doing.

I should add that this is the digital version that is on VUDU. Haven't seen the 2D blu ray.

I heard about this one as someone else on this forum pointed it out years ago. I've not watched the movie in 2D myself but it's interesting little difference. I wonder if there are other examples, I can't think of any.

The 3D version of Scar has a different running time when compared to the 2D version, even on DVD.

Sadly the only real 3D blu ray version has been butchered by German censors, it's a crying shame that no uncut 3D version is available because the 3D is super strong.

The 3D version of the 2012 London olympics opening shown on TV was entirely to the 2D version.

I don't understand the above sentence.

the kylie Minogue Aphrodite live concert blu ray in 3D has a completely different cut of the concert on the 3D disc than it does on the standard blu ray...

the 3D disc allows many long lingering shots that capture the 3D and allow your eyes to adjust to the depth on the screen...

the standard blu ray & dvd of the same concert is the typical fast edit that we're all used to on concert videos and wouldn't have allowed your eyes to adjust to the 3D imagery...

fun to watch in both versions to see the many differences!

Might be a minor difference but I found it interesting.

Disney's Tangled had some small cosmetic differences done with background elements. Basically some of the softer out of focus background shots in the 2D version were re-rendered to be in-focus for the 3D version.

Kiss me Kate has additional scenes just in the 3D version.
