I always thought critics had a biased towards big budget movies. Especially sci-fi movies. Hell look at Star Wars, always had bad reviews from critics but yet, it's one of the top grossing movies of all time...

my advice, don't ever listen to what Critics say, just go by your instinct.

To each his own.

I am going to see this, just for the "experience" of seeing it on a big screen. Entertainment, plain and simple. Popcorn with extra butter please.

different strokes...

ill get this on blu if it comes. i dont go to the movies anymore. i really like the sci fi flick hardware and it has a great soundtrack and not a lot of people feel the same about it. so i generally like to make my own conclusions about media

I'm not likely to listen to someone else's opinion on a movie that I want to see...especially anyone who says "sux"

The only one he made that I think is decent is the Patriot.

The Patriot was good, was it Emmerich or Gibson that made it so?

ID4 is at least entertaining.

That's it.

No offence to the OP, but I never listen to critics or other people's opinions on movies anymore. I will decide for myself.

(Check out the 30 days of night threads.) I love 30 days of night!!!

I never read any "critics" reviews, but the members here have 180 degree opinions on this movie. Always decide for your self.

When Edward Scizzorhands came to theaters, I was going to jump and see it. I read a critic's negative review and passed on it. I rented it a year later and could have kicked myself for listening to that idiot. Loved ES. Never again...

not to mention, movies are for entertainment. if you go into it expecting too much, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment

Agree 100%. Even if your in a certain mood that dosen't match the pace or atmosphere of the movie, it can sway one's opinion at that particular moment.

Sometimes I like a movies even better the more I view them. Who knows. Different strokes for different folks is true. Always make your own judgment.
