Marple?

Has anyone tried this? I know season 5 was released in the US but I've not seen this on BR anywhere else.

Have these bought individually

- Picture quality is okay but not as good as the early Poirot BDs more like the later series
- Disks by series I think started as 1080/24p, but switched to 1080i/50 (marked as 1080/25p) which was what they used for the digital video of the later series
- Boxset is incomplete as only series 1 to 5 (20 stories, 4 per series). It misses out S6 of 3 stories broadcast in UK in late 2013. I don't think S6 has received a BD release anywhere in the world. In Spain they have released S6 only on DVD as per UK

Thanks for the info. I already have the DVDs for series 1-4 but was wondering if it was worth a purchase as it's a good price

It's a marginal improvement on the DVD but nothing special.
If I did not have already I would save my money for the Joan Hickson Marple, the BBC are releasing in the US. Volume 1 out already. They look amazing restorations of the 16mm film. Plus the BBC adaptations are better than ITV, being closer to the books.

I'm part way through watching them now and they are good

I'll put the Marple set on my list and purchase when I have some spare cash.
