Default Today at MOMA-NYC

Hey Museum of Modern Art is having a 3d Funhouse today. Check it out. Norman McLaren's 4 shorts from Canada, 2 shorts from Russia about crystals and Gorky Park, and finally a short with Beany and Cecil and Lloyd Nolan, a preview for The Maze and widescreen Casper the Friendly Ghost Boo Moon. (All of which (except the Russian shorts) will be on a 3d rarities disc coming next June from Flicker Alley and the 3-d Film Archive) 4:30pm

Have you or do you plan on seeing these 3D shorts? If so, please a review for others who plan on picking this up next year.

Yes a review would be helpful as I can't get to NYC to see them, but buying the disc would be something I would do if they are of decent 3D quality!

I will certainly get that disc. I love Norman McLaren's short films and have the DVD box set of his work. I never knew he also made some 3D films.

The disc due in June is going to be 2 and a half hours from what I heard...so I can't really give a review except to say all were superb. The Norman McLaren shorts were Now Is The Time, O Canada, Around Is Around and Twirligig. The Beany and Cecil/Lloyd Nolan short is what is being watched in the famous Life magazine picture of a 3d glasses wearing audience. http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=895649

Thumbs up

Sorry I don't get to see shows like this. Nice to hear the recommendation. I'm definitely looking forward to the bluray.
