This feels like it's going to be the next Delgo or Mars Needs Moms, box-office-wise.

Ok now where is the trailer? I want to see what this has to offer, either they have a big hit and they are going to surprise us or its so bad that they knew they wanted to keep it a secret as long as possible.

I thought this one was just a myth. Glad to see some sort of announcement.
I am not a fan of CG humans though, but the other creatures look kind of interesting, and I am definitely curious about the story.

Now I now what the creature on the left reminds me of: One of the characters of Antz. Possibly Silvester Stallone's character. The shapes are sort of similar.
And the one on the right looks like Tinker Bell. Don't you think?

The release date is not the best either.

I think we should see a trailer very soon. And talking about trailers, it's also possible that the first teaser for The Force Awakens will be attached to this film in January 2015.

So is the animation by ILM? Anyway, it sounds interesting, though the screenshot doesn't pique my interest much. I'll be awaiting the trailer as well.

I guess that was part of the deal with Lucas for Disney to release this?

It looks awfully similar to Epic (2013), just with (apparently) pretty bad songs, and releasing in mid January which pretty much kills most chances of it being a BO success?

I wish it good luck though... I love Fantasy, and my kids will (I hope) love it.

PS: Unless it premieres with the yet unseen SW7 trailer. In that case, it'll do fine at the BO

The good news, it doesn't look bad. But that trailer is awful, the editing ... My oh my. The music, terrible. Does anyone know what's it about based on this one? And yeah, it looks like EPIC 2, but less ... well, magical.

Honestly, it reminds me a lot of Delgo (in addition to Epic), which is not a good sign. The animation is technically impressive but I don't really care much for the character designs. Hopefully the movie will be good, but this trailer definitely doesn't do it any favors.

I do wonder if Disney would put the new Star Wars teaser before it. Every other thing they've done for it (no announcement until 2 months before release date, releasing it in January, not putting a trailer before Big Hero 6) seems to indicate they have no confidence in it and are just dumping it out as a contractual obligation. But putting a Star Wars teaser before it would be sure to get a few more butts in seats...

We could see the Star wars teaser but no way it will debut with it. This comes out in January and the SW7 teaser is supposed to hit before 2015.

After watching the trailer, I checked out the Epic trailers, and I don't much similarity at all.
The character designs are very different, and the premise is too.
It's just a forest.

It looks like a really fun time at the movies to me.
I seriously doubt the trailer of SW: The Force Awakens will be attached to it, because people wouldn't be able to focus on the feature afterwards, if that is the case. Time will tell.

Strange Magic is such a terrible title, I've clicked on this thread about seven times unaware that I had already read it.

Trailer is pretty... uninteresting, to put it lightly.
