I don't have one, but it was on my short list when I was looking for a 1080p unit. I ended up with the Epson ProCinema 1080UB.

I have not checked on it for awhile, but I believe the initial units suffered badly from video noise. Having had a DLP unit before, video noise is not uncommon due to dithering, but the Benq suffered worse than some other models.

I also think the original firmware was converting a 24p signal to display at 60p. This may have changed.

Out of the DLP units, the Benq is currently the best 1080p value. IMHO, going from a 2003 DLP to 2008 LCD unit was a quantum leap in quality. Personally I would not lock myself into one technology when looking. LCD today can produce a great image.

Are you looking strictly for a 1080p model? DLP? LCD? There are some good 720p models out there that do a beautiful job for considerably less money, like Mitsubishi, Panasonic, et cet. Some people can't even tell the difference between 1080p and 720p.

I have the BenQ PE7700 720P DLP now and it's a great projector.
Pic quality is A1 and I've never had any pic noise problems but it did have lamp life probs at release but was fixed for free.
I want to stick with DLP tech because I have a few mates who went LCD and now the colours look a bit washed out after two years.
I'de heard this may happen but didn't expect the extent of it.
My mate brought over his new Sony VPLVW40 1080P and after watching Ant Bully on Blu-ray I thought to myself "Holy crap I need a 1080P" and soooooon

he brought his projector to your place? That would be like me taking my new dish-washer to a buddy's house, and saying... "hey you gotta check this out"
