I figured this is the best place to get this answered...
For fellow Canucks (and maybe you U.S. guys -- not sure how your import duty works), is there a rule of thumb $$$ value that triggers Customs/Duty charges coming from Zavvi since there's no "gift" option? Or is it completely random like Amazon UK seems to be?

I know I've been hit maybe twice out of 20 AMZ UK shipments (on $30 and $50 orders, but not $100 ) and never on Zavvi shipments... I may have got lucky with Zavvi 'cause they always seem to split my order into single movie packages...

I ask because I want to place my biggest Zavvi order yet and not sure whether to spend the extra and make multiple orders or risk it all on one shipment!

Thanks in advance for any input.

That I can't answer. You might want to ask in the steelbook section as I know there are a lot of Canadian members that order from Zavvi there.
I wouldn't create a new topic just find one of the current Zavvi ones that are on the top of the forum as ask there.

neoz should I jump on maniac cop and the exterminator for the 2 for £12 or do you think they will drop on cyber monday plus i have a 10% code right now as well

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong thread, but feel free to move it if it's more appropriate elsewhere. Anyway, Zavvi posted some good deals the other night on Tabu BD and Naked Island BD so I placed an order, only to awake the next morning to find a confirmation email detailing my order and noting Tabu as BD but Naked Island as a DVD (!) -- and another email telling me the entire order had already been dispatched. FWIW, Naked Island BD and DVD have now both disappeared from their site.
Has anyone else ever experienced a glitch like this? I contacted zavvi customer service as soon as I noticed the problem, but I'm anticipating a nightmare (compounded by the fact that I'm located in the USA).

i dont think i will bother with zavvi anymore.
another order that has not arrived yet and its already 22 days since they dispatched it. no matter how good the deal is, the stuff should at least arrive.

In my experience, its best to just send everything back and place an order elsewhere. I won't order anything expensive from zavvi anymore or anything I think I'll have to return or talk to them about.

HOLY CR@P! Don't know how I missed that one! Too bad I already have that set -- at a much higher price tag! Not a bad set for those interested, but the disc sleeves leave a lot to be desired.

I'm SERIOUSLY debating the Space: 1999 S1 set for 22.99 GBP... Can't get a clear "yes or no" on whether it's Region Free, though.
