After quite a fair bit of (justified) trepidation around this film, it's since had plenty of rave reviews. I'm going to skip a cinema trip, but I'm going to give it a chance and pick it up on Blu-ray when the time comes. I'm a sucker for cute fluffy animals!

It actually is pretty good, after the second larger trailer i started having my doubts but i was really surprised by it.

I love Bunny and the Bull & The Mighty Boosh, so I will check it out for Paul King's direction.

I actually ended up going to the cinema after all. Brilliant film, reminded me of older family films that weren't all about mass marketing and merchandising. I smiled all the way through. I've pre-ordered the Zavvi steelbook, can't wait to watch it again.

Nice slip, glossy with a bit of embossing. With the money i saved by cancelling the steelbook, i managed to get The Bogeyman too.

One of my absolute favourites of last year.

It's something i wasn't expecting to be any good at all and to my surprise it was a total joy from beginning to end.

£12.99 Sainsburys really made my day!

Missed at cinema - so also got from Sainsburys...

Wow, thought it was excellent - really lives up to the reviews it got.

Very good transfer as well..

Watched this last night, blind buy, absolutely delightful film. Great performances, very old fashioned (in a good way) humour and scenarios and stunning PQ. Paddington himself was very well done. My only regret is that this wasn't done in 3D, would have been the icing on the cake for me. However it's a great movie anyway.

I'm still yet to actually watch this, what with work running late last night, but i popped in the disc yesterday to see what the picture quality was like and it seems pretty impressive for a family film, which i always feel gets sidelined when it comes to BD releases. Because lets face it, the majority of parents will happily buy a dvd for their kids and not splash the cash on a BD.

Watched the BD yesterday. PQ seemed pretty good to me and the whole family loved the film, despite the liberties it took with some of the characters. Paddington himself is beautifully realised though.

My major criticism is the utterly naff extras - three very short featurettes and a stills gallery. Clearly a lot of effort went into creating Paddington yet there is no insight at all into how it was done. Sure it's a kid's film and maybe they felt kids wouldn't be interested in that sort of stuff, but I would have watched it!

Excellent film. Had to stick a marmalade sandwich in my mouth to stop me waking the whole house up with laughter.
