I was Reading On The Digital Bits Rumor Mill That The DVD is Set For 10/14 and it says there might not be a blu-ray.WTF!!!

I'm betting they are waiting to release all 4 films on Blu-Ray at once. Will that happen in October? Who knows....

Back on topic.... I haven't seen the movie....heard mixed reviews, but of course when you have franchise as successful as Indy, many will blindly love it, and others will hate it just for the sake of hating it..... I will rent it when it comes out, or more than likely, it'll be boxed in with the other three when it hits the stores on Blu (a LONG time from now)

George Lucas has been involved with a lot of great movies..... so it's tough to be mad at him for pissing on his fans by holding back titles (Star Wars took FOREVER on DVD) for financial gain..... but if it helps him create his own special effects company, and increase budgets to continue to do things others aren't doing for the advancement of film...... you have my blessing George.

so what if its not coming to blu-ray, the movie sucked. stupid george lucas and his cgi prarie dogs and aliens. this was the ultimate crapfest of 2008, i don't know why anybody would want this. if you want to see a prarie dog in high def, just go to the zoo, at least the ones there are real and don't make human facial expressions.

i also reccomend the original tarzan with weismuller if thats your thing, shia looked fake and that scene was ultimate lame and fail. george of the jungle was better. and wtf? can shia talk and command an army of monkeys and swing on vines faster than two jeeps.

lame car fight scene, shia getting hit in the groin was just stupid. ill just say it, shia sucked.

marion sucked to, she was like a fangirl in love with the lead singer of a rockband.

aliens were real stupid to put in an indiana jones movie. its not star wars lucas. thank god there was no jar jar, that would have been the ultimate crapfest ever, not just of the year.

anybody who wants this movie has no taste in movies.

I didn't think Indy 4 sucked. But it wasn't all that great either. If George Lucas wants to put an embargo of sorts on the Blu-ray release that's not going to bother me all that much.

I'm not renting/buying the DVD at all. Honestly, the image quality in "KOTCS" wasn't anything special. I watched it in D-cinema and wasn't very impressed with it. So even if the Blu-ray did come out day and date with the DVD, I would probably sit on the fence for awhile about it. There's going to be a lot of good movies coming out on Blu-ray this fall, both new releases and catalog titles. I have only so much money in my bank account that I can spend on BDs. If Lucas absolutely doesn't want any of that cash then that's perfectly fine by me.
