Default First HDTV

well, i've finally decided to get a 32" HDTV to use with my PS3 and all the Blu-ray movies i've bought. It's going to be a temporary TV but it'll be good for the next 2 years for my gaming and movie needs.

I'm going to pick up the Samsung LN-T3253H. I've read on the AVSForums that they seem to have an audio drop-out issue as well as tearing. From the looks of it it's a 50/50 chance of getting one with those issues. From what i've read, the newest firmware takes care of the audio drop-outs but the tearing has yet to be fixed.

Does anyone have one of these LN-Txx53H sets and are experiencing the same issues?

I'm gonna pick up my TV on Sunday.

If it has problems then why buy it? There's models from Sony, LG, Panasonic and Hitachi that will all do the job perfectly well without compromise.

If you're gonna go with a 32" then I recommend the 32" Sharp Aquos. I have it for my PS3 and it looks awesome!

i've been researching and shopping around and decided to go with the Samsung. The sony would be out of my price range and I did a side by side comparison at the store with the Samsung, LG, and Sharp and the Samsung had the best picture.

I don't mind the tearing issue (i've seen it for a split second for myself) and the audio drop-out issue seems to have been fixed with a firmware update. but the poll on the AVS Forums looks like it's a 50/50 chance of getting one with those issues... i've generally been really lucky with all my electronics i've bought... hope my luck comes with me this weekend when i pick up the samsung.
