Default Springsteen BD in 1080p or 1080i?

I'm seeing different specs on this at different websites. Can anyone confirm either way?

Agreed.

BTW, I'm asking because the PS3 doesn't deinterlace 1080i BD video, and 1080i on my TV (WD-65732) looks vastly different than 1080p. Different colorspaces is the reason for that, I think.

I'll be getting this title either way. Just because I like Bruce.

It's 1080i and 5.1 48kHz 24bit (6.9Mb/s) audio.

As Chad has mentioned, this is not a sharp image (at least with the sharpness set flat) so I don't think you'll see a difference. Btw check the colorspace thing because I can watch 1080i as RGB or Yrb

Well I got it and while the concert is great (and my friend that I grew up with, Sam Bardfeld is in the band, playing the fiddle!) the BD is VERY ubderwhelming PQ-wise.
Looks no better than SD dvd. VERY dark, soft, smeared...
Actually the "Live in NYC, MSG" dvd actually looks better than this BD!!!"

Worth it for the PCM audio and the performance but a real letdown just IMHO...

"The Video: How Does The Disc Look?

Regrettably, I can’t help but wonder what went wrong? The packaging boasts “mastered in high definition” and various sources talk about how “9 high definition cameras were utilized” during recording of this very special event. However, my eyes tell me that the (AVC compressed) video looks below-average even for standard-definition DVD content; I’ve seen upconverted DVDs that out-shine this high-definition Blu-ray Disc. The image is dull, blurry and is plagued with artifacts usually associated with low-bit-rate DVD encoding like occasional edge-halos and digital/electronic noise. If I based my conclusions on what I see, I’d guess that this “high definition” image was obtained by merely upconverting a less-than-stellar standard-definition source. I can’t convey strongly enough how disappointing the image quality really is given the potential of the 1080 high-definition format; I’d even be disappointed if it looked this way on DVD. Perhaps on smaller screens the image might look acceptable. But for anyone with a large-screen high-definition display or projector, the basis for my comments will be immediately apparent the moment you cue up the disc..."

Precisely what I thought. Looks like a screwup...

Most shows are filmed with HD DEF VIDEO CAM that record in interlaced mode. Some rare are filmed with pure Film Cam, but those aren't broadcasted live...

This looks VERY processed to me. You know when people shoot at say 30fps and then try and get it to look more "filmy" smearing occurs and an unnatural softness creep in. It looks dreadful for and HD release whatever they did. Even bad for a SDdvd release...

And my friend Sam is wailing on the fiddle in the disc! Too bad I couldn't see him more clearly. Just a blur 1/2 the time.

This was a total waste presented on BD. IMOP

No doubt It's a great concert, but should have been a SD DVD only release.

Yes the PQ sucks, but it's worth it for the lossless audio alone.

says 1080i on box. I didn't think 1080/60P was supported by Blu ray...?

I don't know the technical aspects, that's just what is displayed on my player. I thought it was kind of odd, myself.

watching it now. looks and sounds great. since this was shot and aired live in europe it was probably shot in 1080i/50. But if so, looks great and not noticeable conversion-wise.
