Definitely if you like mindless action. Not worth anything more than $18.

As long as you have the right expectations the movie is tons of fun. You can't take it seriously at all. It is a very over the top ride that looks great and is enjoyable.

Great film. Just go in expecting a fun & ridiculous movie with great AQ and PQ. Turn your brain off for a couple hours and enjoy all the gunfire, action, and cheesiness.

Couldn't even finish watching it - totally crap (but beautifully filmed and outstanding sound- which makes it an even bigger waste than the flic itself). So far of my 120+ purchases this gets the Bronze Turd award. Oh yeah, it's on my trading list.

I thought it was bad as well. Barely watchable. The same concept with a good director could have been great, but this wasnt. People rave about the PQ which was quite sharp in high contrast shots but full of blotchy artifacts in the shadow details like a bad MPEG2.

Thumbs up Shoot Em Up...Recommended

Shoot Em Up is very cool and the BD is fantastic (excellent picture and sound). This movie is a very fun ride. If you enjoyed Pulp Fiction, Sin City, and Kill Bill...you will enjoy Shoot Em Up too. BTW, those three films that I just mentioned are three of my favorite films and so naturally I am biased to Shoot Em Up as well.

The first ones you mentioned are my favorite films as well I would rate them in order 9/10, 7/10, 10/10 however IMO "Shoot Em Up" is flat in almost every scene and not in the same league at all, I would rate it 3/10.
