Default My Movie Bedroom

I graduated from college back in May and moved back home to the Atlanta area so I could go to grad school (majoring in Film and Television). Looking forward to getting my own place because this room is way too small for all the memorabilia I own (I have more packed away, including from productions I have been in). First are the two most recent pictures I have of my blu-ray collection, followed by my general room pics which, while old, are pretty much how my room is now, minus the PS4 I got for Christmas.

Good cozy room you've got there. You definitely strike me as a movie lover, nice memorabilia.

Without a doubt lol There isn't a genre of film I don't at least have some appreciation for.

Welcome to the Galleries PenguinDeluxe. Nice room full of movies, memorabilia, and collectables. Looks like a cool place to hang out and catch a movie or game. I like the old cameras and have a few if my HT, check out my gallery if you care to look.

I have a Sony Blu-Ray player in my room, but I just got a PS4, so I've started watching on that. RCA 32" TV from Black Friday about 6 years ago. College student budget lol I'll get a nicer TV and a sound system and all eventually, but there's no point until I move out. For a small room, it works fine.

Haha yeah, got a few LaserDiscs, plus a CED of Dr. No there in the back. Not pictured is a copy of Close Encounters I picked up on LaserDisc about a month ago. I love them, the artwork is really nice and they display well. Maybe one day I'll do that thing record collectors do and put them on a wall somewhere.

I like your gallery. I also like how we have some of the same posters and cameras lol

Lots of places. Goodwills, other thrift stores, eBay, home decor stores (Hobby Lobby is good and does a lot of 50% of sales), Internet stores, Blockbuster closings, family hand me downs, gifts from who knows where. I'm just constantly on the lookout wherever I am, but I never pay full price or high price for anything. Everything in there was heavily discounted, gifts, online trades, hand me downs or free.

I see no reason to pay full price unless you have to. I couldn't tell you the last time I bought a movie without using trade ins, coupons, price matching, etc. It lets you grow your collection more and if you are on a college budget like me, keep collecting even with little money.

Not on a college budget but I am on a budget that has to include a family of five. I have become the ultimate bargain hunter because or this.

Hello and welcome to the HT gallery threads PD. That is quite the collection you have amassed. I also notice the Laserdiscs you own. I still have around 70 of them. Good luck on getting your Master degree.

Thanks! The Goodwill here for whatever reason gets a bunch of them in every so often. Dr. No CED as well. No idea why.

Hi, my mom gave it to me for Christmas. I want to say Cracker Barrell of all places as their store cycles through themed decorative items.
