I liked Apocalypto...thought the jungle came alive in that movie, as well as the body paint that they used! looked amazing!

The best looking BD i have seen so far (and I am not saying it is that great of a flick) has got to be Ghost Rider. Amazing visuals and superb audio.

I, Robot is absolutely superb!!! Cars and Ratatouille are equally as impressive but it is much easier to make animation look great over live action.

These are the threads I either stay really far away from or get good laugh out of depending on what mood Im in. Im expecting certain people to show up and make this guy sorry he ever found this site.

I guess I don't really understand what you are getting at, because depending on the aspect ratio (anamorphic or not) will tell if you have black bars are not, since a widescreen tv is a 1.78:1 ratio

...and since most newly released movies are either 2.35:1 or 2.40:1 showing on a 1.78:1 screen. Result...black bars!
