Default HDMI 1.3 to HDMI on older TV

I've read in posts that some r having problems when connecting 1.3 HDMI up to old HDMI TV's. Since I'm planning on upgrading my amp to one with 1.3 output and keeping my TV which is 2005 with HDMI this worrries me. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. By the way the amp will be an HK 254 and my TV info is below.
Thanks

HDMI is backwards compatible. There is no problem.

There have been some cases of compatibility issues, but they are usually addressed by a firmware update (yes, some TV's need firmware updates).

Personally there is nothing to worry about. Most of the cases that people report are common user error. But on the slim chance you do end up with a lemon at least you'll have manufacturer warranty or simply return it.

But like I said, nothing to worry about.
