Default Cliffhanger Blu Ray in UK Rated "15" (is it cut?)

I just saw that the Cliffhanger BD which is released in two weeks has a BBFC Rating of 15. I had the 15 Version on DVD and it was severely cut.

Does anyone know if that BD will be the uncut or cut Version?

It is 10 minutes shorter than the US DVD. Which is in NTSC, so I don't know how that affects the length but.. still I would really like to know before i order this title

Are you sure it's ten minutes? IMDB lists the UK time as 112min to the US time of 113min.

The original movie runtime, which should be identical to the 24p BD is 5 minutes longer. So I guess it's the cut version

I read the 118 on a US Page. But still The cinemaversion which also runs at 24f is 5 minutes longer (Than the Blu Version. The Blu is 108 minutes and the Cinema is 113)

I read somewhere that the blu-ray was reclassified about 3 weeks ago and passed without cuts. Or did I dream this?

Edit:

No I wasnt dreaming:

Default running Time

Hmm.. maybe they just made an error with the running time on the disc.

Like with "Commando". They put 88 minutes on the cover when the movie actually was 90 minutes (uncut)..

The previous DVD Release of "Cliffhanger" which was rated 15 was heavily cut though.

Default Cliffhanger

I just read that but how do you explain this:

When submitted to the BBFC the work had a running time of 108m 2s.

21/06/1993 Guild Film Distribution Ltd 111m 30s Yes CLIFFHANGER
This yes stands for cut

So what do you think?

The 03 June, 2008 states that it passed with no cuts made and that all previous cuts were waived.

BBFC states on 21 jun 1993 ,submitted film was "112m 36sec"

I have the US R1 DVD, which runs for "112m 36sec"

Optimum is releasing the film on Blu ray as well as DVD.

I think the Running time of 108m 2sec, is for the PAL DVD. Which would account for the time difference.

When I saw the movie, I thought there were some useless and meaningless shots. So, a cut version might be good enough.

LV is most likely correct - the one they rated was the PAL DVD which has all of the frames but at 25/24 the speed, or 24/25 the duration.

I saw the cut version too and they even cut into dialogues when something brutal happend. That's not acceptable. But still, if the new version is uncut everything is fine..

There was a lot of violence cut. These movies are about violence. What good are these movies if the violence is removed?

Amen to that! I'm very jealous this is coming out here before the states. If there's lossless audio, I may have to import...

AS far as I know there's no word yet. But I suspect they will treat us with a nice lossless track
