Default Samsung Plasma: F5300 Any Good?

Seems like plasma is in the very late 11th hour. I prefer plasma's, but I recently got my 60" F8500 stolen, so I'm looking Samsung's/Best Buy's sites and see that you pretty much can only get the F5300 model. At this point, I'm wondering is I should just go to LED and call it a day, but the "plasma guy" in me is wondering about this model......

I wouldn't get a Samsung. I'm on my 2nd one in 6 years and its already starting to go out. I thought maybe the first one was a lemon after 3 years, but now my 2nd one after about 3 years is already starting to crap out.

Sometime when I turn it on. I only get sound. The picture won't turn on. I have to turn it off and hope it turns on the next time. If I have a picture and turn my tv off. I have to wait about an hour before I turn it back on cause the picture won't pop back on. I just get sound. Samsungs are garbage tv's. I'll never buy one again.

They stopped making those more than a year ago. You are farrrrrrrr better off getting a high quality 4k tv capable of high dynamic range or a 1080p projector. With the 4K options you'd want an led with quantum dots and a 10-bit panel (the quantum dots massively improve the quality of light and color and the 10 bit panels can display more color and hdr) or an 4k OLED from LG. The OLED would be your ideal choice because it doesn't just match plasma, it exceeds it, but holy cow is it expensive. The projector route would be pretty amazing as well. You can get awesome 1080p projectors for around 500 bucks. More often than not you can see all kinds of detail and depth to the picture you could never see on a tv. Things really jump out at you when they are actually life sized or larger because of the projection.
