United Kingdom The November Man UK Blu Ray

Still no UK release date announced? What's going on? It's been out elsewhere for a while now. I believe the US release is locked to A too and i'd rather have a B friendly copy. Does anyone have any info on when this might be coming out on Blu Ray in the UK? I really enjoyed the movie and want to pick it up.

Yeah I couldn't wait any longer and bought the US release. Great flick, shocked as it stars a former Bond it hasn't been released in the UK.

If you want B release JB has Aussie release and they ship to UK, pretty fast too.

yeah I kept checking but couldn't wait, it was $14.99 so with post worked out the same as the UK price if ever released. At least with the US and Aussie you know it'll be uncut.

I used JB for Christine and Fright Night about 4 months ago, arrived in a week and two more titles which are nowhere to be seen in the UK. Recommend JB for B titles.

I got to watch the new Turtles movie over Christmas, think the UK one is still a month away. John Wick should arrive before UK even gets an announcement.

Just import

So STILL not UK release date announced for this. It's really weird that it's taking so long. I really want this to be announced. Don't suppose anyone else has any information on a UK release?

"Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures" gave it a theatrical release, I don't see a home video distributor listed anywhere. So I take it they are in charge of that too, strange it still hasn't been released.

Thanks, then it's even more weird. I mean i know it wasn't a huge hit or anything but it did OK. I really enjoyed the movie and am very keen to pick it up, but would really prefer to buy a UK release.

Thought it was a really good action movie, still surprised not released here. Won a HS copy for £10 a couple of months ago and both my wife and I thought it was fun and top PQ.

Disney have been a bit weird with some of their weakest theatrical titles here - Chimpanzee still hasn't had a UK release, even on DVD..

Yeah its really weird for sure but hopefully one will come out soon. Its just frustrating that no date seems to be on the horizon for what I would consider to be a fairly high profile movie! France is getting a Steelbook, I may look into that perhaps if nothing materializes soon. Importing seems so unnecessary with this one though. Especially as I'm certain the moment I import, a UK date will be announced!

It flopped despite the low budget - its worldwide gross didn't even cover the marketing and release costs. Its UK gross was pitifully low - just £4980 on its opening weekend with a £9,988 total gross - which is probably why Disney are in no hurry to release it on home video here.

Disney is also the studio not releasing Blu-ray 3D discs of their 3D movies in the US and Canada, and additionally, they have already announced that the under-performing animated feature Strange Magic, is coming to DVD-only in the US on 19 May, so the news that they are sitting on an under-performing adult film is not that surprising.

Remember, when the UK BD of Marvel's Avengers Assemble was found to be accidentally censored, the UK branch of Disney essentially told customers to pick up the US BD, instead of electing to re-author the UK disc.

Worldwide, they are a strange company.

If you require a Region B-compatible disc, I would pick up the Australian BD, which I believe is also from Disney, but may have less extras than the US BD from Fox (for example, it appears to be missing the audio commentary):

Disney last year only released Million Dollar Arm as a DVD in the UK. Bought the region free US BD also from Disney.

They just so unpredictable in their release strategies.

Disney are absolutely terrible as a film distributor. Pierce Brosnan is hugely popular in Britain as James Bond is British. Nearly everyone I know prefers Brosnan to Daniel Craig and would have loved to see The November Man but they never knew it was on.

There was zero advertising for The November Man's release in the UK and Disney only released it at about 5 cinemas nationwide. They're complete idiots. If they had released the film properly it definitely could have made at least 3/4 million pounds. They have cost themselves and Pierce Brosnan a lot of money and have let down all of Brosnan's UK fanbase. Let's hope that The November Man 2 gets a more skilled distributor like Lionsgate.

I'm gonna be really annoyed if Disney haven't released The November Man on DVD/Blu-ray in the UK by June.

He said James Bond is British and Pierce Brosnan is popular in Britain. What's that got to do with him being Irish?

Nearly everyone I know prefers Heaven's Gate to Interstellar, yet that still failed to make at least £750,000. Still, let's hope that Heaven's Gate 2 gets a more skilled distributor.
