Now that's what I like to see! Bring in new artistic talent and see what they can create.
You the studio that would benefit the most from this: Marvel. Oddly enough one of the most "art restrictive" studios on the planet.
Kudos to these folks, for putting this together!

Sure hope to see more of it later on.

Just don't let the damn Director or Producer have final say. They don't always see eye-to-eye with us Collectors

I submitted a design for Only God Forgives when they ran a similar contest. Safe to say Nicolas Winding Refn picked one of the worst ones - it was a rehashed design as well, 'cause that same design had previously been entered for a poster competition for Little White Lies and the entrant just re-submitted the same one for the steelbook contest (with a couple of adjustments).

I might do one but I actually like the poster campaigns for this film already and I'm sure the regular releases will have great artwork anyway. The steelbook will likely be a Zavvi exclusive and probably at a silly price...

Although I hate jazz, I love this film. JK Simmons will finally get the recognition he has long deserved. Should get Best Picture but won't.

If the artwork ends up to my liking I'll have to resist getting a standard version until the summer.

My heart skipped a beat for a second there before I saw the TBC after artwork.

I actually like the orange coloring and the stick plank from one of the posters.

I had the same type of reservations, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I watched it with a friend who happens to be a professional musician. She loved the impeccable musicianship in the movie, I loved the humor. Seriously, it's like the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket got a job at a music school. I laughed so hard, I teared up. Give it a chance. I think even the most disinterested person in music could find something to like about this movie.
