I have my 2 activated PS3's in storage & I tried de-activating 1 online. Apparently you can't do that according to the online device list, only on the console itself.
Do I need 1 of my systems from storage to be hooked up in order to de-activate it? I have a new PS3 I'd like to use. Thanks Edit Found answer. You have to have the system to deactivate game & video. Time to start digging in storage. ![]() Last edited by Derb; 02-01-2015 at 06:37 PM. |

It has never been clear to me why this is needed. I have 4 PS3s (although one died a long while back and I just bought a new one instead of having it repaired) and have never gone through steps like that. I just have the same account on each one and things seem fine with the PSN games that I've downloaded to each.
Edit: Actually, thinking about it some more, maybe at some point they added some sort of limitation to the number of systems a PSN game could be on. Most of the games I had on all 4 systems were early PSN games. The later PSN games I would have only had on 2 PS3s. Last edited by owa; 02-11-2015 at 01:53 PM. |
