Australia Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome

Hello guys,

I've heard the quality of the standalone Region B blu-ray edition of Thunderdome is fantastic, and there are no instances of telecine judder or flickering.

Can you please confirm this?

Pretty sure Warner Brothers supply the same master worldwide. You would need a BDInfo disc scan of both the US and AUS release.

His version of 'judder' might be a completely different thing.

* Mod Edit
- Just going to remove 'no judder' from the topic title as it could mislead people at the moment.

The local disc is identical to the U.S, I have both.

There is definitely some flicker going on, primarily in the early scenes, but the 'jitter' or 'judder' you're referring to looks just like the camera was set on a shaky microlite to film the opening aerial shot.

There's no noticeable telecine judder/"wobble" in the Region A release either. The guy who originally posted that must have been shaking his head constantly while watching.
