I have recently aquired an Onkyo SR-705 and was wondering from fellow owners what type of speakers you have paired with this? I am a novice at best and I got this receiver from my brother who upgraded. Also if anyone out there has Klpisch speakers I would be extra interested to hear what you are using and how you like it. I have a family member who works at a retail store that sells Klipsch Reference series as their high end model and I can get a substantial discount. Any advice or reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks for your time

if you can get the Klipsch at a great deal you should!

although I would not get a Klipsch subwoofer...you would be better off going with one of these:

Acoustech H-100

Elemental Designs A2-300

Any particular reason why you would advise against a Klipsch sub?

Ok noted, however if you are taking into account the discount would it than be worth it? The markup on the speakers is like 300% on some models I would be paying alot less than sticker price. The RW-10d for example retails there for 699.99 Canadian and my price would be around 300.

well, if you get a really good price on it the Klipsch sub would be fine I guess.

i have the Klipsch Quintet II's along with the Klipsch 10 matching sub. I love it, for my bedroom which is fairly large they have more than enough power.

Like everyone has said if you can get a deal on Klipsch then by all means - go for it. I've got the 705 and my surround consists of Polk Rti A3 fronts, Polk CSi A4 center and Polk FXi A4 surrounds. I am using a Polk sub also but I am looking to upgrade that piece. I was going back and forth between Klipsch and Polks and finally went with the Polks. I'm very happy with my decision.

i got paradigm speakers for my side and back speakers a klipsch center and 2 infinite front models not sure but they do sound nice. Want to replace the front though with something a bit bigger since all my speakers but the center are about the same size. Sub is a yahama
