I have Close Encounters, Jaws, and Raiders of the Lost Ark on vinyl and all I can say is that they have never sounded better.

I'm surprised that Black Sunday (1977) hasn't been released yet. It plays in HD on cable fairly regularly, and the novel it was based on was written by Thomas Harris, the author of Silence of the Lambs.

Great job compiling this list. I love film music especially scores composed by John Williams. He is truly one of the best film composers ever!!!! I hope we get Jaws 2 on bluray soon.

I admit to not giving it a hard look, but I don't think it was an upscale. There are plenty of movies that have HD transfers, good ones even, that don't have blu-rays.

John Williams is my FAVORITE music composer in Hollywood, followed by Jerry Goldsmith. Man, there's some awesome talent right there.

I am amazed at the hold up with Universal on the Blu-Ray for Jaws 2,another great Williams score.
