I got the pics from other sources and haven't received my copy yet. I guess I'll take my chances and hope it turns out to be a great release.

ahhh I gotcha... well this has to be at least as good as my old lionsgate blu that no longer works anymore lol... tried my oppo 93, sony s370, and my ps4 all with no luck... I have emailed lionsgate but haven't received a reply yet... this kinda upsets me because I have a fairly large collection with a lot of lionsgate stuff and if they mysteriously stop working I will be pissed if I end up having to replace them as I find out they no longer work... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they step up and replace the disc for me

Yeah, I'm just reading about how some U.S. lionsgate BDs have stopped playing after a certain amount of time. Apparently, it has been addressed by lionsgate. Let's hope so.

what did lg do to resolve it??... that is one of the first discs I bought back in 2007 and only watched it a couple of times and it has been taken well care of so I don't know what went wrong

Now i'm seeing the in-hand images, i've decided to buy it. It's a shame there is no back art, but the front art and color is awesome, also the fact that is region free. The postcards are a nice detail. The best of all of this is i don't yet own this title. Great haul for 20 euros with shipping included!

According to what I've read, it had to do with how many of their early discs were manufactured and have since changed their methods a bit. There's a thread here about it: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=131955&page=4

well it's good that the issue was resolved but what about all the people that had defective discs, were they just left out to dry and had to rebuy them?... I have spent far too much money on this stuff to start buying them all over again... I haven't heard back from lionsgate yet but I hope they take care of it the right way... if I don't get an email before the weekend is over I will call them next week

I got their customer relations number and talked to them regarding my discs, the first person who I talked too basically just backhanded everything that I said with, "FIRMWARE"! Saw II and Saw IV went bad. I called again the next day and got another woman on the phone, but, the hassle was too much, I saw the complete Blu-ray set that is the 3 disc version for $15 and got it to replace 2 and 4.

Honestly, if they were doing a complete set, the theatrical cut of Saw IV would be nice as well as the full 2hr Director's Cut of Saw III. I was lucky enough to come across the Canadian Blu-ray of the theatrical cut of Saw VI for $10 about two years ago. Hate how they slightly changed the ending on the Unrated version.

Just popped the disc in to check the audio and subtitles as I need this to be english friendly. Great news, for me, no forced subtitles. You can select "no subtitles" either from the menu or from the remote.

English audio options are either:

7.1 DTS-HD High Resolution or 6.1 DTS-ES Discrete

Picture looks crisp and good to me although this is the only Saw blu-ray I have seen to date.

Hope that helps other people too.

This is still confusing. On another message board, someone said they played the disc and it had English 7.1 DTS-HD MA along with 6.1 DTS-ES Discrete. It's also very unlikely this has the 4k remaster too based on other user comments I've seen. This is still a mystery.
