Are there any retailers still consistently using boxes, not envelopes, to ship blu-rays? It seems as if everyone has switched over to envelopes.

The only one I can think of right at the moment is Second Spin. Each time I've odered from them it's been in a box but my orders there are usually at least 6 items or so. If you're only ordering one or two movies it seems almost everyone is using bubble mailers or those plastic bags.

I really depends on the size of your order. Two examples...
If I order one or two titles from Amazon, I'm guaranteed a bubble mailer. Three is hit-or-miss. Four and up seem to always come in a box (unless they split the shipments up). Lately, for individual titles, I've noticed Best Buy going away from the grey/plastic bags (with no padding), and using the same corrugated/stick sealers that DMR uses. I just ordered four music BDs from them, and they all came in a well-packed box. The point of all this is ![]() PS: CDJapan always uses well-packed boxes. ![]() |
