Update: Even though both of those discs were announced as English-friendly, Amelie does not contain any subs at all (not even French). Only C.R.A.Z.Y offers English subs

A quick note that both Amelie and C.R.A.Z.Y, set to be released in Canada this August 12, are now officially announced as English-friendly. We hope to have reviews for them shortly.

Amelie is up for $51 on Amazon before shipping - ouch! Does anyone know of any other stores in Canada that have it?

Also do we know any of the specs for the The Pianist release?

Btw, why is this in the Europe section? Last time I checked Canada was no where near us.

I don't have any info on the region-coding yet but will provide more as soon as I receive the discs for review. This being said it is my understanding that the Quebec release will use exactly the same print as the one prepped in France for TF1 and their BD of Amelie. The French disc however, as of now, has been announced without English subs. I should have probably included the TF1 info in the top post as well since you are correct that currently it only redirects the attention of our readers to the Canadian disc.

I have always hearde amazing things about this movie.

Oddly enough I have only met two kinds of people regarding it:

People who love it

Peopl who haven't seen it.

Yep, he's in there. He's listed on the credits at IMDB. Sorry, french may be a bit rusty.
