Awesome news!
Especially since it's listed it has the English audio tracks. As fans of the series know, the Shout! Factory never finished releasing the complete series. There are German DVDs for all series though, which are a bit expensive, and I was waiting for a promotion to pick them up. With this set, I can get the full series, for a good price, and continently in a small number of discs. The chances of a true HD of the show were pretty non-existent, so I'm happy for this set. |

Bluray-disc.de lists German audio only, as does the German distributor.
Amazon isn't exactly the shining beacon for accuracy when it comes to product specs so I wouldn't pre-order before we have definite proof. |

The label (Turbine Media Group) confirmed on Facebook that the Blu-ray will have english audio.

In my opinion the US discs look better.
The episodes are not upscaled. They are 720x576 PAL, direct copy from the DVDs, no new encode. |

I have this set on the way. I ordered it mainly for the final season that was never released here. I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. I'll do some comparisons once I get it to see which looks better. If the DVDs look better, then I'll just opt to watch those for the first two seasons.

Well, I received the set last night. And the news is not so great.
I tried it in two different stand alone Sony players and a PS3. The warnings and menus come up just fine, but when I go to actually play an episode, it just does a quick little "flicker" and goes right back to the menu. The episodes won't actually play. This happens with both discs, so it's not like there is a problem with one of them or something. I'm not sure if it is because of region coding (I would think if it was that, the disc wouldn't load at all, but I could be wrong), or because of the episodes themselves being in standard def PAL format, and any US devices would be NTSC. I guess I'll have to look into a region free BD player. |

It is likely region free as haverchuck stated, the content on the set is however 50Hz so most players and TVs on the North American market are incompatible. Some players are compatible and also able to convert it to 60Hz so it can be displayed on their TVs.
