Lightbulb M. Night Shyamalan on Blu-ray

How about some M Night Shyamalan films on Blu-ray eh?

That would not be a bad idea at all.

Signs (my favorite)
Unbreakable
The Sixth Sense
The Village

Considering that all those 4 titles are from Buena Vista (Disney) and Disney is only using Blu-ray.

Im sold!

I'd like Unbreakable. I don't care for his other films much. But put them all on BD, because he has a lot of fans that will buy them.

Smile I have to agree with you!

I like all of those too.

For now, the only one we have is Lady in the Water by Warner.

I know a lot of people don't like this film, but I have grown to like it because of the characters. Unfortunately it is known for not having great picture quality (way too soft, low bit-rate VC-1). But I'm sure that Disney will do a spectacular job on the others as they always do.

I would want all four of those, but the Lady can stay in the water.

I want them all! Could you imagine his movies in 6.1/7.1 PCM? Also, Signs is one of the worst films when it comes to compression blocks. Yes, the colors were slightly weird for the film and he did use a lot of grain, but the compression blocks were so bad! I think The Village might've been bad too, but I can't remember...

Definitely Sixth Sense and Possibly Signs and Village but
Unbreakable was hard enough to sit through in the theater-I would
never own it on blu-ray or dvd.

Signs is so good that wife won't watch it and 20 year old hides her face. I'd replace my standard dvd in a flash. Six sense not bad but thats it.

I didn't like any of his movies excep the 6th sense. Which I'd like to see on BD. But the rest, I don't really care about. Stupid aliens vulnerable to water come to earth naked? And after traveling light years they don't even have suitable tool to get through the wooden doors?

Yeah, he's an overrated director and I don't think I'd get any of his films on blu-ray. Didn't get them on DVD and only saw one in the theater and was very disappointed.

he is pretty overrated. the sixth sense was great, and had an awesome twist. Every movie after that people expected the same caliber movie, and all they get is something mediocre at best.

He is definitely not over-rated. He is a great story teller. I would buy all of his movies on BD. Unbreakable is one of my favorites. People tend to think to much when it comes to movies. Unless they say " Based on actual events" don't call bull-crap when you dont agree with something. It is his story, he can tell it any way he wants to. IMHO. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
