Amazon Boyhood 99-cent rental on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play

Boyhood is 99 cents to rent - tonight only.

iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/boyhood/id898212062

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Boyhood-Patric...dp/B00MBWMIDW/

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/movies...9NPrPKk0&hl=en

(You have to open the iTunes program to see the 99-cent price. It doesn't show up on the website link.)

On Amazon, you have 30 days to start watching it. I'm not sure about iTunes, but I assume it's the same. Check though.

P.S. Yes, wrong forum. But until there's a "Digital Hot Deals" section, this is where it's going to get the most eyes. I'm not even sure where it would go in the Digital forum. A mod can move it if necessary.

EDIT: Might not be tonight only?

I wouldn't wait though, because who knows when this will end.

You have 30 days to start watching a movie after you rent it. After you start watching the movie, you have 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) to finish it. You can watch the movie as often as you like until it expires [Boyhood is a 2 day rental, after the first time you start it within the 30 day period].
If you don’t start watching a movie within 30 days, you must rent it again.
Movies you rent disappear from your iTunes library when the rental period ends.

That's cool. I've never rented digital before. This was one of my favorite movies from last year, worth the price for sure.

AWESOME post! I'm glad you posted it here. Never would have seen it otherwise... I had $2 in Amazon Instant Video credit that I may have never used... This was perfect! Do they have 99 cent specials on recent movies regularly? I still have a buck left to use...

Coincidentally, an hour ago I watched two tv episodes on Amazon Instant Video (which were free), but it was the first time I've watched anything on Amazon in years... I have Prime, but I'm not the primary member, so I don't have the video benefit...

Thanks. I updated the OP. I tried to change the thread title, but all that did was change the title of the first post.

It's a lot rarer now. 99-cent Amazon rentals used to be a regular occurrence. In this case, I have a feeling they're only price-matching iTunes.

iTunes renal related info:
From Apple's website, with info related directly to Boyhood rental in added in brackets by me:
How long you have to watch [an iTunes rental]
You have 30 days to start watching a movie after you rent it. After you start watching the movie, you have 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) to finish it. You can watch the movie as often as you like until it expires [Boyhood is a 2 day rental, after the first time you start it within the 30 day period].
If you don’t start watching a movie within 30 days, you must rent it again.
Movies you rent disappear from your iTunes library when the rental period ends.

Boyhood is long, just a heads up. It took me more than one sitting to finish watching it on BD. It's fascinating, just beware that it's a big thing to digest.

It is also 99 cents to rent through Google Play. So people have a few options to see this movie.
