Better place to redeem a code?

Is there a thread on here that breaks down which movies redeem for more things on a certain service? Like if a code will give you extras if redeemed on Vudu but not on Flixster. Something along those lines for any movies that might be different.

The Saw Collection would be an example. I remember hearing that it gives extras when redeemed through Vudu but not if redeemed through Flixster.

Great idea. The thread on which formats a title will redeem in (UV or iTunes) has been very helpful, I always check that thread before redeeming in case I only get 1 redemption and have to choose. I imagine this would be useful too to make sure people don't miss any potential extras.

I saw that there is already a thread saying that Sony titles show extras in Vudu but I don't know if that means it has to be redeemed through Vudu or the extras only show up in Vudu but not through other channels.

I was also told that WB titles possibly give extras through Flixster but don't have anything to verify that at the moment.

If people can post things that are certain, I would be glad to update the OP with a list

What I know for Sony is, their titles redeem in a specific way since the dc disc stopped for them in 09 after district 9,.

2D Sony redeems straight from the store, and will go to both Vudu and flixster.

3D Sony must redeem straight from vudu, if it redeems from the store Sony loses control over its movie as the SPS can't read 3D combo pack codes (from the 5 titles that did both a 2D and 3D version)

So for Sony, if you have a 3D movie it's best to redeem through Vudu?

Any other tips? I'm concerned with extras as well. Like Fast & Furious. Will redeeming through Vudu instead of Flixster (or vice versa) cause me to gain or lose anything?

Here are movies on Vudu with 'Extras Plus'. You do not have to buy or redeem the movie through Vudu to access these, but you must have the movie in your library.

I am not sure if this page includes them all, but when you open the movie page, look for the Extras tab or Free clips tab. If not there, then Vudu does not have extras. These extras are different from the 'Bonus Feature' version of the movie, which generally you get when buying, but not for redeeming a code. You can tell when you redeem on Vudu which version you are getting, because it will say Bonus Features.

Just want to point out that the new iTunes extras (designated by a blue highlight) that come with new movies and that have been upgraded in some older movies, are also viewable on iDevices (iphone, ipad, ipod touch) that have iOS 8 (not viewable in iOS 7).

Yep.

While now defunct Targetticket would allow some extras to port over to Vudu, etc... The sucky thing was they all ported as individual titles instead of an extras subsection.

You can look in iTunes and see which movies have extras.
Do all Universal or Paramount Movies come with extras - the answer is no because not all older movies do. For new releases then probably yes, and for major releases -yes, but there easily could be exceptions that pop up with lesser releases.

Sony does not provide digital extras for redemptions, however, Vudu did partner with them to launch Extras+. Extras+ is exclusive to Vudu and only viewable on a PC due to these movies having interactive menus. Extras+ is now available on select Warner titles as well. I don't understand? Are you trying to say menus can be on digital format because Apple does it?

That wasn't the point I was making. I was saying that because they have interactive menus, Vudu's Extras+ only works on PCs. Vudu has not implemented a way to present interactive menus like Apple has. Perhaps because Vudu's menus are web based which would be a hinderance to some streaming devices.
