How is this wonderfully 80's movie not available on BD?

I don't know about a classic, but it is on my wish list as well. It's not available on blu-ray because Universal couldn't care less about their catalog titles (especially obscure ones like this). I'd buy it day one.

I was disappointed when she lost her accent near the end, though.

I just was looking at a music video that was in a family guy clip. If you look up Yazoo extended they wear the same clothes and makeup as Johnathan when he's in disguise going back through the DDR. Which lead me to look if this movie was going to be released on Blu-ray which lead to my current depression

There's a new Spanish Blu-Ray which -- at least according to the translation of a forum I looked up -- is a pressed disc with a legitimate HD transfer, not an upscale:

I was placing an order from Spain and it's cheap so I picked it up. Hopefully it'll be worth it!

This is one of those movies that was on one of the cable movie channels for an entire summer. I probably watched it 2 dozen times but I haven't seen it in a long, long time. I would buy this for the nostalgia factor alone.

Got my copy the other day. It may not be an upscale but it is extremely soft and doused with heavy DNR levels. Colors are pretty good which is why I don't believe it's an upscale...but its Mpeg2 and barely okay. If you are importing something else and aren't making a specific purchase for it, its probably worth the $10 it goes for but not much more. At least its a pressed disc.

Since it`s Universal, does Shout Factory have this? if not I hope
Universal could at least release it as part of their MOD line!

They`ve been releasing great stuff like K-19, Fletch Lives and The Skulls
recently.

According to bluray-disc.de the German release is a BD-50, whereas according to blu-ray.com the Spanish release was a BD-25.

The German is most likely using whatever ancient transfer that Universal has dug up with a plethora of DNR and sharpening applied to it. This is a wait and see, not a Day 1.
