Thank goodness they're not waiting until December to release it -- heck, thank goodness they're releasing it, period.
Based on what I've read, this past season has been one of the very best. (The last eight episodes or so have scored a full "A" over at AVClub.) Now I'll have a chance to find out, living in a cave as I do without streaming capability or cable. I felt season 5 was a bit weak, but when this show's on its game (seasons 2 and 4) it's as good as anything on TV. I implore everyone reading this, who hasn't discovered this elegant little show, to dive into season 1 at the first opportunity. The first few episodes are plenty entertaining, but it really picks up after about four or five, and rarely slows down to take a breath. Just wonderful, wonderful entertainment, with some of the richest dialogue and truly terrific performances all around -- particularly from Olyphant and perennial MVP Walton Goggins. |

The commercial during tonight's series finale advertised this as "Now On Blu-ray." That would have been the quickest turnaround for a TV season on Blu since 24's seventh season. Come to find out it doesn't come out till June. Not too long a wait, I suppose. You can throw all your Blus into an upside-down cowboy hat for a DIY complete series set.

I hopped on Amazon immediately to see if it was true. But, of course not. |

This thread and this one right here should probably be merged (with correct date).
And Conan already has his copy (from his show on 4/14) ![]() |

I would have to disagree as well. I thought this last season was fantastic and I enjoyed it as much as any before it. I really liked the character played by Sam Shepard. The bad part is, now i have to add the entire series to my want list. My wallet isn't too happy. |

Overall, I'd rank the seasons in order of personal preference as Season 4 > Season 6 > Season 2 > Season 1 > Season 3 > Season 5. I'm curious about a "Complete Series" set, though. I have the first on DVD and the second on Blu-ray, so I would be willing to buy a complete set. But if it's not going to come out for awhile, I might just skip it, because I'm anxious to start buying the remaining seasons already in order to re-watch the whole thing. |
