I remember fast and furious 6 came to theaters in May 2013 and wasn't out on blu in the us until December of 2013

I recall a portion of the proceeds from FF6's home media sales went to Walker's charity. I wonder if they'll do that again with this one.

Universal created a really awesome U-control video commentary for the fourth movie. It was similar to Warner's Maximum Movie Mode for a couple of titles. Unfortunately, it appears that the studios have stopped making these super duper video commentaries.

Saw it on Monday. Lots of unbelievable mindless mayhem.

For myself, Fast Five remains the best of the series but if you liked any of the previous movies you'll like this one.

[Show spoiler] I was hoping the story would involve the location of Tokyo and Lucas Black since the whole franchise was re-kickstarted by Tokyo Drift. It would have been a nice full circle, but alas it was not to be, although LB does have a cameo. The ending of Furious 6 [tying in to the ending of Tokyo Drift] seemed to be pointing in this direction. I was disappointed that they didn't have LB join the team to avenge Han

I don't like the way they are being advertised now. In the trailer for Five, Dom said "This is the last ride" (or something like that) and I remember my friends and I discussing it being the last one and we have to go see it for that reason. Then 6 came out, and the same "last ride" line was put in the trailer. And now with 7, the same, yet again, "last ride" line is added. And we know it's not the last, because several cast members already mentioned there will be an 8.

I just wish they stop adding "last ride" into the trailer.

It's kinda become a catch phrase of the series, much like "Just when I thought I was out" from Godfather part 3 as well as "I'm to old for this s#!T" in Lethal Weapon. I imagine he will say it in the next couple of them.

Well, that movie appeared in theaters at the end of May and kept playing throughout the summer. Universal had to decide if they would release it before Black Friday (knowing that some people would wait for a heavily discounted price) or after Black Friday. They opted to maximize first-week sales.

This movie basically has April to itself, so it's gonna burn off demand rather quickly. December would be eight months away, which is "too long" in today's accelerated scheduling.
