So they are grabbing everything, going for the T.V. etc. I keep grabbing them before they can't get to it and they are throwing a fit. My sister says to me that we need to childproof the house while they are there. I looked at her and said hell no, they're your kids you need to keep an eye on them like I did with mine years before. She's the kind of parent that thinks you should let your kids do whatever they want. I told her she could do that at her house but not mine. needless to say it was a faily short visit.
Nip it, Nip it, Nip it.
Like my Brother in Law and his wife come over every week to play poker, and have been for two years. My wife and I like a cold house: 72-74 F during the day, 68F when we sleep. When we have company, we let it hover at 74, which is as high as we let it go. Everyone likes it cool but her brother and his wife. For years, they've been complaining about how cold it is in our house, yet she is always wearing some skin-tight tank-top and short little hooker shorts, and he is always wearing flip flops, shorts, and a sleeveless shirt. WHenever they complain about the temp, I tell them they should have worn warmer clothing. They want to make everyone else hot so they can be comfortable. One time we tried to be nice and let the temp rise to 77 and everyone else complained about how hot it was...

For the original poster, try adjusting the audio set up for Optical and make sure it is correct. When my son tried playing with the buttons on my onkyo 605, he had pushed the zone 2 buttons.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you fixed it.

My mother in law used to do the same thing with our air conditioning. She would actually sneak over and turn it up. I told her to keep her hands off my thermostat and put some warmer clothes on.
