Default PS3 better than Xbox360?some2 explain me.

Ok, i want to know now, i just saw some new trailers of upcomming games for PS3, collin mc rae dirt, final fantasy , army of two. they looked fantastic, unbelievable something like that is possible, well........
BUT STILL some xbox360 fanboys say: "xbox360 is much better then ps3"
now i want to know, is it true? i mean how can this be true? how can they not understand that the PS3 has much more vantages then the xbox360?

BLU-RAY, Disc size for games, HD games, HD Sound, free online games, much silent then xbox360 AND GRAPHIC ?????

Please tell me , are the xbox360 users just to jealous or too dumb to understand or are they right?

people say alot of things...this doesn't make it true...

one system being better than another is by your point of view.....

which games do you want to play?

same goes for Hd DVD vs BD.....which movies do you want to be able to watch?...

it depends on what you want to accomplish...

edit: my only real gripe with the 360 is the rings of death.....and my only gripe about the PS3 is that it's just a bit over 6 months old...so there aren't as many games RIGHT NOW...but by the end of the year, this won't even be an argument anymore..

Yeah, it all depends on personal preference. Both systems have some pretty decent games out right now. I have 3 PS3 games, and 4 360 games. Does that mean I like the 360 better? Definitely NOT.

My PS3 can also play Bluray discs and browse the web, both of which my 360 cannot do.

Can I get Resistance and MotorStorm on my 360? Ninja Gaiden Sigma? Nope.

Can I get Dead Rising, Crackdown, or Lost Planet on my PS3? Nope.

So each has their pluses and minuses.

this is where preference comes in....I only like Rainbow Six: Las vegas and Gears of War on the 360....I traded mine in awhile ago...

I'm not a big fan of Deadrising, Crackdown or Lost Planet....

so my decision was a PS3 because the games that were considered the top 360 games didn't really do much for me.....

and the upcoming top games are Halo...which I zzzzzzzzzzz on....and gears 2 whenever that comes out...

I prefer MGS4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Uncharted: Drakes fortune, White Knight Stories, RE 5 etc....

also...seeing GTA series go neutral does nothing for me as I'm not a fan anyways...

I agree. Halo 3 could be the best FPS ever, but i love RPG's. Anything Final Fantasy I want. I own both but I watch movies far more than I play games. If could only have one it would be my PS3.

yuup...I rarely own more than 3 games at a time....I never get all the games I want....

movies on the other hand....different story...

the argument about which system is better is a fanboys argument....it depends on what you like..

Yup, more of my personal preferences: Halo and Gears of War both bore me.

Also, There are more things I am looking forward to in the future on PS3.

The PS3 has more potential than the xbox 360 has. But that's just it, potential. If it were actually better, then we'd all say that. Metal Gear Solid 4 should be a good test to see the power of the PS3, but it's not coming out until 2008 now I think.

I only wished there were a new controller for the PS3. I liked the Gamecube's large analog stick, I could get a lot more precision while playing Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube, versus the PS2 version. I'll just have to see what they do for Resident Evil 5. Can't wait for that game.

PS3 Vs X360 almost means Adventure/RPG Vs Shooter. Actually I'm a Final Fantasy *****, so wherever FF goes, I go. I'm really glad it's on the PS3 though.

I own both the XBOX 360 elite and PS3.

I own a 1080p LCD, if you want true 1080p support PS3 kills XBOX 360. period. There's really no games (except 1 or 2) that supports 1080p on the 360. PS3, most of their games on PSN and some retail games support 1080p. Framerates are more solid compare to 360. Worlds are bigger.

In terms of more good games out there, 360 obviously has more but I would give better quality games to the PS3. All 360 games have noticable tearing whereas the PS3, you hardly notice any at all. PS3 games play smoother at a solid framerate especially at 60fps.

Right now, the only thing I use my 360 is to play HD-DVD movies. Other then that, all my true gaming is on the Playstation 3 and PC.

If you're talking system only then the PS3 is better than the Xbox 360

I'm not sure if I'm close so feel free to correct me.
PS3 cost 600.00 but it cost Sony something around 800.00 to make. So right there you getting a system that cost more to make than buy.
Xbox 360 Elite cost 480.00 but it cost MS something around 350 to 400 (I'm guessing)

PS3 also plays Blu-ray movies at no extra cost.

Now if you're talking about games, then that depends on what you like. Each system has good games and each system has good games coming out. Each system also has features that the other systems doesn't have.

So end the end, which system is better PS3 or Xbox 360? The only person who can truly answer that is you, because everybody will have different opinions about this.

depends on the games you like really, but i would go with the ps3, its like a computer can do pretty much everything. Plus you can watch blu-rays and can xbox360 games have 50 gb on a disc...nope so when mgs4 and FF come out your not going to switch disc and your going to have a lot of game time. You wont complete the game in 4 hours like gears of war. Put it this way the ps3 is the future the xbox360 is now. good luck on your choice

That is very funny. I actually do quite the opposite of kknight. I had one game for my PS3, which was Resistance, but traded that in for credit after beating it. Now my PS3 is only used for viewing Blu-ray Movies (and I recently purchased an awesome surround sound system for it!), which I really don't mind.

I have both the Xbox 360 Elite and the PS3. Axl is on target...and my opinion is that the Xbox 360 is much better for gameplay, since I enjoy Shooters more. I totally hate RPG's (escpecially the FF series ) unless it is an Action RPG, like Oblivion, which I also have on the Xbox 360.

I am still patiently waiting for Resident Evil 5 (The real reason for purchasing the Playstation 3).

I am a fan of Halo, but not a big fan of the FPS, still like it though. That is why when Gears of War came out on the Xbox 360, I was totally Hooked and Loved my Xbox 360. Gears of war is a shooter, but it is in Third person, which is my favorite type of game, like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, etc. But Gears is a shooter which is the perfect game for me!

I just got gone done hosting two LAN parties this summer all within three weeks of each other, and everyone LOVED the game. Each time there were about 20-25 of mine and my buddies friends. The LAN parties also swayed all of the people who did not have 360's to purchase one, because of the game. Fun Campaign (although short), Superb Graphics (the BEST out of any game I have ever played or seen trailers for), and Excellent Multiplayer Gameplay (just like the LAN parties I host), especially on Xbox Live (which I play for hours just about every night).

As for differences, I go to Gamespot.com for reviews on games that come out for both systems. And just about every game they review for both systems, they usually give the advantage to the Xbox 360 version, usually because of dropped frame rates on the PS3 on some titles. Or, if it is dead even sometimes they still give the advantage to the 360 version for the achievement points. But if I remember, I don't think any PS3 game has ever been better than the 360 version when compared at that site. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I do hope some games come out that are worth purchasing for the Playstation 3 soon, because I do want to actually use the system for some gaming. The only games I am looking forward to now are Unreal Tournament 3 (Coming out for PS3 and 360, but going to wait for the reviews on both platforms), Bioshock, and of course Halo 3, which I have reserved already.

So, basically...Yes, it all comes down to personal preferences and opinions.

They are jealous and are so dumb trust me i've got both and i only got 360 cause PS3 was delayed otherwise i had no plan of getting it. The only thing the PS3 lacks is the games and the only thing 360 doesn't lack is games LOL
They are jealous cause the ppl who play the 360 half of them are junkies they don't appreciate the fact that something can be better than what they can afford and dumb of course they are "WHATS SO GOOD ABOUT THE PS3 BRO" i dare you all to who have a 360 to put your motto as PS3's better than 360 and ppl get so offended as if you said something to their mum hell they don't even care about their mum IN OTHER WORDS
PS3 ROXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

ps3 does rock. i couldnt picture anything else in my living room but my ps3. not just cuz it looks awesome (shiny and sexy) but because its an amazing piece of technology. since the latest update ive been very happy with my ps3. i have one of the best high def players on the market(bd or hd-ded) that also plays bad ass games (resistance, motorstorm, madden, and has anyone seen the new heavenly sword video from ps store?), with a web browser, wi-fi, bluetooth etc. i would have to say its the best console ive ever owned.

Ah, a console question, i think i can add my 2 cents, since the only reason i got into blu-ray in the first place was the PS3, im a gamer 1st and a video enthusiast 2nd.
It's not even worth it to talk about which console is better in terms of performance anymore, since it will eventually lead into the superior cell processor of ps3 vs superior gpu of 360. Lets just say that both are equal in terms of output, to save alot of trouble. You can also get add-ons to the 360 to match almost all of the PS3's capabilities (xtra pay of course)

The winning factors of the 360 and PS3 are as follows:
360 - has much better games and online support (xtra pay of course) than PS3. Even if they don't admit it, PS3 owners are envious of how many games the 360 boys are enjoying right now, while they aren't feeling the love in selection terms, heck just look at my sig, i already played those games to death, and now have nothing left worthy to play, . Yes this will change in the coming months, but the 360 already has a substantial lead here (i.e. if the PS3 can add more games at this point, so can the 360)

PS3 - their winning factor is coincidentally the purpose of the site we are in right now
No matter how 360 people spin it, more capacity is more content and given the same graphic/sound output, PS3 games will have more levels than the same 360 game. Even if MSoft joins the BRD wagon after the format war and puts a BRD add-on (xtra pay of course), gamedevelopers still cannot make a 360 game to match PS3 games, because they have to develop for all 360's in general, including those that DON'T have the BRD add-on.

In the end, PS3 is more future-proof and 360 is more fun now (although if you just want quick thrills check out Wii ), So it depends on what games you like and who will carry it. Final Fantasy/Metal Gear/God of War or Gears of War/Halo/Fable. If you can want em all and can afford both, get em, cuz unlike the High def format wars, there will be NO loser in this fight.

All comes down to your preference, if your looking to get many great games in the future, The PS3 is the way to go, if your looking for gaming right NOW then the 360 is better at the moment.

Bottom line is whether your in it for the long haul or the now, if you just want the besy machine, The PS3 is for you. If you can afford both, buy them by all means which will allow you the widest selection of games AND more importantly give you the chance to play the best version of a multi plat game
