if the girl on the tv in the first link comes with it then get that if not, then im sure u can find a panny plasma for around there and id get a panny over a samsung, espeically if ur getting a plasma, as for dlp id go with mitsubishi but im sure u can find a larger size if u wait or look around, u should be able to get a 65'' for that price

I'm sure I'm a minority on this, but if you're going to go with DLP definitely get the Samsung. The 61" uses LED technology and is not a traditional DLP that uses a lamp, and the LED should last you the life of the TV so you don't need to worry about lamp replacement like traditional DLP. Samsung definitely cornered the niche on DLP, and I wouldn't think twice about getting that 61" (except maybe I'd rather it came with the girl on the 50" plasma
![]() Edit: The newest Samsung 67" model also used LED technology. Last edited by red_5ive; 08-05-2008 at 01:30 AM. |

Personally, I think you should go with a plasma if that is what your options are. Samsungs are nice, but you should really look into perhaps the 85U or 800U Panasonic. Rear projection TV's are expected to be exiting the market in a few years. There are really only 2 MFGs that make them anymore, and once Samsung drops them, they will be non-existent.
