![]() ![]() I've seen lots of pictures for this set, but no in-depth reviews. For those who own this, I have a few questions... 1) How much of the original music was replaced, if any? 2) Have the recycled "leap-outs" been fixed from the original U.S. release? 3) What's the picture and sound quality like overall? I know its not hi-def, but did they use the same source as the R1 versions? Thanks for your time! ![]() |

I originally bought the US sets but when I discovered that the UK sets had the correct music for one or two seasons that the US didn't I changed over - also to get away from the dvd-18 that the US releases had. I only have the individual seasons not the boxset but unlikely to be any different. Here's a place to check , this shows the 3rd season has original music on the UK. http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=7683 Seems likely that the UK sets didn't use the same source as the US one as the music is correct . Don't know of any "leap out" changes you mention. Picture quality is as good as SD gets |

Think it might be season five but I'm sure at least one season of the UK sets has the same music cuts as the US version

Seasons 1&5 were not changed for either the US or UK. 2&3 were changed for the US but not the UK. Season 4 had changes on both the US and UK sets. |

Not all 5 seasons but some of the seasons do have subs. Seems odd for some to have them and some not

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the last episode did try to answer some questions (such as what happened to Al), but I don't think it closed the storyline for Sam Beckett. Not sure because its been such a long time. I think the series is on Netflix so I may revisit it. (Hope that wasn't any kind of a spoiler) |

The original airing of the last episode's finale was a simple "leap to black", with text saying Sam never went back home. Later, a tape was leaked of the alternate ending, showing a photo of Al with Beth and their four daughters. Bellasario tried to get multiple revivals off the ground, but none ever made it to shooting. Fans even clamored for a spinoff, revolving around the adventures of Sammy Jo Fuller from the "Trilogy" storyline...but that never happened, either.

It's not a serialized show, so knowing that shouldn't have any impact on viewing any other episode.
For that matter, if you now believe that the end of the show is that Sam Beckett is "lost in limbo" forever, that's not even particularly accurate, so you're fine. |
