Default SD Memory Cards

Ever since E3 of 2005, Nintendo has said that their console would use SD memory cards. Now that most of the information on the console and controller is known, I haven't read a thing on their SD memory cards. What the card will look like or the size. It may be that Nintendo is now working on the memory cards since they are now working on the virtual console thing. What does SD stand for? Standard defination?

If I recall correctly, the Wii uses internal cards to store memory. They will probably have some expansion slots (and, in fact, you can even hook up external storage media to it) but the internal memory should be enough for most people.

Default SD cards for the nintendo wii

On the front of the wii console, there is a slot for an sd memory card. If you want to transport data with you, you would use an SD memory card? Could you use a compact flash card with the wii?
