I was able to upload some full-rez screen-shots to HomeTheaterForum, and I'll try to post a link to them -

Pity they didn't go all the way, and included a lossless audio too! Why do a half job? When 4K blurays will arrive we will still have DVD audio? Nonetheless, I'm thankful that this wasn't tealed as the current trend is. Last edited by filmmusic; 05-12-2015 at 04:07 PM. |

i got my swiss family robinson & return to oz blu-rays today from disney movie club and they didn't have the slipcovers. disney movie club told me these ones weren't released with them, which stinks since all the previous ones were released with slipcovers.

101 Dalmatians II was a "temporary" exclusive, meaning it was sold exclusively by the DMC for a limited time (Hercules and Tarzan were also available exclusively in DMC before their wide release).
However, the DMC exclusives with the gold borders (Old Yeller, Swiss Family Robinson, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, etc) are "true" exclusives in that it does not seem they will be offered in retail stores. |

Not sure how people don't understand the difference between an actual exclusive and an early-release exclusive ![]() Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Tarzan, Hercules, 101 Dalmatians 2 ...... those were all released to DMC members months before they were available in retail. Any of these DMC Exclusive Blu-rays are a completely different category. If you can't figure that out for yourself yet, then best to not try explaining it to others ![]() |

I would like to make a suggestion to all members: PLEASE send Disney a note about this, all Blu-rays that are exclusive to the Disney Movie Club should have DTS Master Audio. DMCquestions@movieclubinfo.com or calling us at 1-800-362-4587 ALSO: BE SURE TO POST ON FACEBOOK ON THE DISNEY MOVIE CLUB SITE, THEY DO RESPOND (see below) I have already written them a few notes, one requesting The Happiest Millionaire to be released. On Facebook (Disney Movie Club) they did respond by saying "Priscilla Porter: I will forward your comments along to our Marketing Group Robert. Priscilla" I think it is very important we all write a note to both the emails and the Facebook page. On the emails, I always start by saying "Please forward this to the team that decides which movies to release through the club." In this case, I would change it to "to the technical team who works on Disney Movie Club Blu-ray exclusives." |

Yes, most Disney Club exclusives have lossy Dolby digital audio. Actually I think only Return to oz and the 2 Herbie movies have lossless audio. So, it's 3 out of 8. Correct me if I'm wrong please anyone. By the way, we're talking about Disney here. From what I've understood of its releases Disney doesn't care about quality. The Bigger the company, the less the interest on quality! Last edited by filmmusic; 05-25-2015 at 05:20 PM. |

These exclusive discs seem to be timed with 5-year anniversaries (40th, 45th, 55th, etc). With that in mind, my guess is that Millionaire will come in 2017 for its 50th.

only "the computer wore tennis shoes", apple dumpling gang, and Swiss Family have lossy (and Swish family Robinson has a 320kbps mono track which is an insane bitrate that is near lossless) |

I swore people told us when they came out that they were lossless??? damn. but hey, I'm not exactly worried. 320kbps 2.0 is a VERY high bitrate DD...at that rate it's pretty much indistinguishable from lossless, though it makes you wonder why they can't do a lossless encode? not that hard to run it through
