Yup, it's a good movie.

I hope Kimchi will also release exclusives of Linda Linda Linda, Love Exposure, and Eureka.

Swing Girls would be cool too.

I love this movie and Anna Tsuchiya in general, but I already have the US dvd, so I 'll unfortunately probably have to skip it since I have a couple of other titles more important to save up for in the next few months.

I can't think of a single movie similar to Kamikaze Girls. It was a blind buy for me and I loved it. Love Exposure, maybe? They both have a very strange humor and energy that seems unique to Japan.

Does anyone know if this version has black borders around the picture like the UK version?

No black borders. I even just put my disc in again to check. It's 1.85:1 aspect ratio so it should fill the whole screen.

Edit: There's maybe a 3/8" black bar on just the left side, but it might just be my tv.
