Question Is it possible to create 24/96 surround music on Blu-Ray

Is it possible for a consumer with a PC, Blu-Ray burner, and audio software to create a Blu-Ray disc with 5.1 24/96 audio (only) for playback on any Blu-Ray player?

I was thinking that this would be a great way to back up SACD and DVD-A discs since they are now getting hard to find and almost impossible to replace.

OK, I'll bite. Once the 24/96 files are on your PC, what do you use to get them onto the BD disc so the player will see them. Can you use any DVD Authoring program, like say DVD Architect? If so, how do you set the files up?

Do you create a 6 Ch wav file? 6 mono files? I know how to do a DTS CD and DVD-Audio from the PC, I am just not familiar with getting things onto a BD disc.
