Harry Potter's Sister - Blu-ray Forum

My neighbor had a BBQ today. He was the guy who turned me on to Blu-ray discs. Anyway, he told me today that an entire new series of movies are going to be made that will NOT feature Harry Potter. Instead, they will be about the adventures of Harry Potter's sister -- Mary Potter. I told my BD buddy that I did not believe him. He swears this is true. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

Id say hes lying or terribly misinformed. Although Hollywood has come out with worse so who knows. Nothing came up on a search though.

I truly believe that Ms. Rawlings would have a fit--legal--and otherwise. She tends to be very protective of 'Harry'. There was an author of a Harry Potter compendium that she recently sued and won. So I don't think any studio in their right mind would venture a HP sequal with a sister or anything else without Ms. Rawling's approval.

She didn't protect Harry from the improper "extracurricular" games Dumbledore "played" with him after school hours, if you know what I mean.... I mean she says she meant it that way, anyway. *wink**wink*

As for the rhyming names, why not? My brother used to work at our public library and had a couple that came in regularly whose names were Harry and Mary Derryberry.
