Kid's movies for girls? - Blu-ray Forum

wife and I just found out yesterday that we're having a girl sometime in October. which leaves me wondering ''what the hell do little girls watch?'' I don't see rainbow bright or any of that crap coming to bluray. what movies would appeal to a small baby girl? maybe ones that aren't expected to come out for a few years or are already scheduled. i'm completely in the dark and my wife doesn't usually watch stuff kids would like.

I have a daughter also! Congratulations BTW!
She loves all the disney movies. Most recent ones on BD on got for her.......

ok for both of us

were open season and happy feet. She loves pretty much any cartoons. She loves Dora the Explorer and spongebob so get ready to watch alot of nick on tv.

happy feet is a kids movie? I love that thing. i've watched it probably 10 times already. man. maybe this whole having a kid thing won't be so bad. I can watch happy feet then just say the kid wanted to.

open season is good. but not that good.

any word on madagascar?

My wife is having a kid soon too. Don't know what sex it is yet but I will love it the same no matter what. I am not too worried about what movies to buy yet, but maybe I should be...I will keep up with this thread just incase.

Oh yeah, I did like Ice Age The Meltdown ALOT and even though there are alot of sexual jokes in the movie, it is nothing that anyone under the age of 12 could understand.

You actually think you'll have the time - or energy - to watch movies??

- at least for a couple of years - FUGHET 'BOUT IT!!!

My neighbor's little girl loves Ice Age and Cars (rumored to be cominf to BR soon). Other movies she likes - Home on the Range, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo.. and here's to hoping that those movies come out on BR by the time your daughter will be able to enjoy movies...

My son, who takes after his dad, is a movie freak. He just can't wait to become "grown up" so that he can watch all the movies dad does.

i cant wait to have my 1st kid, but im waiting a bit longer considering im only 20. And plus im the one that actually has to go through the pain in all...grrr lol

And pain you will go through...my wife gets morning sickness bad(I don't know why they call it morning sickness though because it happens at all times of the day and night) and we are only 10 weeks in...we will see what the next few months bring us.

The morning sickness part usually goes away...at least it did for my wife. But other things will follow. Mainly the mood swings!

Look at us.......men giving pregnancy advise.........LOL! There's this new technology...something called blu-ray i think, anyone know anything about that?
