I just seen the Quantum of Solace trailer and it looks pretty sweet. It's gonna be tought to be better than Casino Royale. Also Daniel Craig is a good Bond, But not the best IMO. mine is a tie between Brosnan and Connery.

I'm going to have to go with Brosnan. I think it kind of depends on who you grew up with as Bond. While I think Craig is great, I remember growing up seeing Brosnan as Bond during the 90's and loved all his movies.
I think Connery is a good, but I wonder if he could have done all the stunts that are now required of todays Bond actors. As for Lazenby, On Her Majesty's Secret Service might have been the worst movie I have ever seen. I can't even get through watching the entire 142 mintues of the movie (and I have tried several times) because of the plot and acting. I think this might have been Lazenby's first acting job on screen, and it should have been his last. |

By the way "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was the most accurate of all the Bond movies in reference to the books, it was the truest to the source material and over the years a major fave with hardcore Bondophiles. Second truest was of course "From Russia with Love". Personally, the most iconic of all Bond movies is "Goldfinger", this is the one that ensconced all Bond movies in movie popularity history (it is second only to "Thunderball" in attendance popularity out of all the 007 movies and is the one that went over the top attendance wise. TB & GF were the LOTR of their time) Brosnan was very good but was hurt by the poor scripts that made Bond out to be a comic book super hero. Flemings books were far superior to the vast majority of the movies and it's great that the producers are trying to get back to feel of the source material, but I feel they still have a long way to go. |

I grew up with Pierce and thought he did a good job. Sucks that he had to be around while the brand was starting to die

I will always remember Brosnan surfing on that part of the plane? with the parachute on a tidal wave. God , just writing that makes me want to throw up , so horrible As for the poll i voted for Sean connery for nostalgic reason but really , i think Daniel Craig is taking james bond into something much better but we'll have to see after quantum of solace is out. |

For my money, it's got to be Sean Connery. First off, as a former boxer and body builder, he looked tough enough to be a secret agent. On top of that he was smooth and sophisticated, but with a bit of a rough edge. Then there's that smirk and twinkle in the eye that none of the others have or had. In another post I alluded to David Duchovny having that same quality; William Petersen in CSI as well. It makes all the difference. For my money Daniel Craig is too intense and brooding with very little of the Bond personality. Where are the snappy rejoinders and witty quips; its all part of the Bond mystique? I thought Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were too pretty to be Bond and Moore's "fighting" was awkward at best. The rest are blips on the radar IMO
