If they had a GREAT price for a set, I would consider it, but it doesn't seem that buying them in a set would be that much more beneficial from buying each title individually.

Exactly, it sucks how companies do that on purpose to get rid of their crappy movies. They always bundle good movies together with bad ones, IMO.

There is at least one movie in each of these volumes that I like, but only one of the volumes has 2 or more movies that I would really want to own. For that reason, I would buy Vol. 1

There is about a 30 price break at least on vol 3 from amazons regular pricing so I would say its a pretty good deal...but most people are going to atleast own 1 if not 2-3 of the movies in each set.

Whats the point if you already own 1 in each set, maybe 2, Can't see to many people buying these sets unless they don't have any movies.

Don't see how these sets are supposed to appeal to anyone...

The only set that makes sense is box 1, it seems like an action theme box set..while I would not buy the actual Blu-Rays, I think if you enjoyed either one of the movies, you would enjoy the other three..I actually have Training Day and Swordfish on regular DVD [not looking to upgrade though]

'Lethal Weapon,' 'The Road Warrior,' 'Swordfish' and 'Training Day..all good action movies..

The others though, there's just no theme at all...Superman is a favorite for kids, sci fi fans, comic book fans..I just don't see how the other movies fit into it...especially the Departed [being two decades new compared to the other titles and a totally different kind of movie]

And Last Samurai with The Phantom of the Opera? I -LOVED- LS and hated Phantom, and I have some friends that LOVE LOVE PHANTOM [the book, the show, the movie, everything] and HATE Last Samurai. And the other movies..just seem them for the sake of being there..

Well, all I know is get ready to see a lot of one discs on eBay..I might by the Superman set cheap and then sell the others to get Superman for free.

I have 2 of the movies in vol. 3....but the one with Lethal Weapon and Swordfish may be worth a pickup if amazon has a decent price for it..

I can see buying these as gifts to save a few bucks. but you have to really like the person.

As I buy the movies I want on release date box sets of that kind are too late for me. This is the case here. That said, even if I didn't own the ones I own already the ratio movies I want to movies I don't want is still not good enough here. No deal for me.

I agree with the comment about the vol 1, all good action movies that I actually dont own, but I just got into the BD within the last couple months and am still building my collection, I plan to buy Vol 1. The other Vol with Phantom and Last Samuri actually looks good to because my wife and I both enjoyed LS and my wifes favorite movie is arguably Phantom, so I may pick up both of those.
