When? New scuttlebutt says delayed until September now (same time as the Azunetech/PDVD combo).

Depending on how this card handles (and the software associated with it), it'll be the deciding factor as to when I actually do my HTPC -- If it's even worth it any time soon... If this card doesn't fix what's wrong with HTPC Blu-Ray playback, then I'm not sure I'll be bothering any time soon.

Regardless, I'll probably end up waiting 'til early next year for various reasons (need to upgrade my amp(s) and make a new set of L/R speakers)... Unless I get really antsy and just can't wait.

I hope this is a straight-forward question.

Can this card be used to emulate PS3-like audio connectivity from a HTPC? What I mean is, can I output HD audio via PCM to my HDMI receiver.

Right now I have a PS3 and I set it to PCM output to get HD audio (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-MA, etc) through my receiver. My receiver has HDMI, but does not decode HD audio via bitstream.

I would like to build a HTPC that operates the same as the PS3 in this manner.

That would be one of the goals of the card. To either bitstream (something PS3 can't do on the advanced codecs) or decode into PCM (like the PS3).
