The light source needs to be 6500K i.e. white, using any other colour will actually decrease image quality, and so will a coloured wall. To provide accurate image quality, use neutral wall colours i.e. greys.

I would recommend this bias lighting product:

I use one, and wouldn't buy anything else.

Had this set for years and still going strong. These also come with adhesive strips but I found them to be a little weak so I went out and got some 3M strips.

This one. I've had it for a couple of years and I love it. I have it set on the richest blue.

There is a difference between personal preference and accuracy.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and preference, especially when discussing about people's own setups, but if someone wants an accurate looking and sounding system, standards and best practices should be followed over what one thinks is right/looks good to them.

Amazon has tons of choices in LED lights. Any one of them would work fine. LED lights are super inexpensive at Amazon too. No need to pay a lot of money.

I have this kit on a few of my TV's. It has multiple colors, fading, etc. I bought it after seeing it used on The Flick Pick YouTube channel. It's a fun novelty. Word of advice, use black electrical tape over the hooks when mounting as the stickers provided do not hold for long.

Here's the YouTube video:
